Keilhauer is looking for an Assembler to join their Production Department.  In this position, your role is to assemble chairs in order to meet the production demand and maintain Keilhauer’s commitment to quality.  This requires efficient and accurate attention to product quality during all assembly activities, while following specific safety standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned):

  • Assembles each job, according to Keilhauer standards.
  • Helps with other functional areas as the need arises.
  • Reads and understands daily schedule and job description.
  • Completes an overall Quality Control check of finished products.
  • Forwards chairs to Quality Control on a regular basis through the day.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 years’ experience in production - assembly experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
  • Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Able to operate air pressure tools properly.
  • Able to read, write and speak basic English or American Sign Language.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform prolonged standing at a workstation in a manufacturing environment; lifting of chair parts/frames up to 20 lbs. frequently; ability to lift a finished chair (up to 30 lbs); must have full use of both hands/arms and good visual acuity to select correct components and to observe and test for quality; ability to frequently grip/hold hand tools such as air pressured tools (ex. air drills, ratchets, etc.); must be able to wear safety glasses when required.
