Keilhauer is looking for a Gluer to join their Production Department. In this position, your role is to Glue materials such as frames, wood and foam together by following specified procedures to maintain Keilhauer’s quality standards. This requires efficient and accurate attention to product quality during all gluing activities, while following specific safety standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned):
- Reads and analyzes the daily schedule.
- Checks and count all materials prepared to ensure it reflects the daily schedule
- Ensures that the kit matches the job type before gluing.
- Completion of high school education or equivalent work experience.
- Able to read, write, understand and speak basic English.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Teamwork – balances team and individual responsibilities.
- Cooperation – offers assistance and support to co-workers.
- Dependability – follows instructions, responds to management direction.
- Adaptability – adapts to changes in the work environment; changes approaches or method to best fit the situation; able to deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
The essential physical requirements include ability to perform prolonged standing at a workstation in a manufacturing environment; lifting of chair parts/frames up to 20 lbs. frequently; ability to lift a finished chair (up to 30 lbs); must have full use of both hands/arms and good visual acuity to select correct components and to observe and test for quality; ability to frequently grip/hold glue sprayer and wear the proper personal protective equipment.
