Bakery in Brampton (Airport Rd/HWY407) is hiring a Machine Operator - Mixer Operator for full-time, Monday-Friday, afternoon shift (03:00 PM - 11:00PM). Pay rate $14/hour.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review the daily production schedule.
Ensure proper and safe operation of the equipment.
Regularly monitor that the product conforms to quality specifications.
Use SPC weight control system to check weights are deposited as per specification.
Responsible for proper cleaning equipment.
Continuously monitor and adjust the process based on upstream and downstream production needs.
Ensure that the equipment has been properly cleaned before starting production after CIP has been completed.
Regularly co-ordinate with other Machine Operators on the line.
Ensuring quality of products on the line.
Ensuring proper and accurate set up of the line(s).
Responsible for the crew being on time, understanding their tasks and ensuring that they are met under all circumstances.
Responsible for Mixer responsibilities and following the Mixer processes when providing coverage.
Responsible to work on the line as a general production worker when necessary.
Ensures production schedule is being followed at all times.
Responsible to work in the role of general production worker when required.
Responsible for documentation and administration reports.
Responsible for maintaining work area is clean and free of hazards.
Responsible for practicing and adhering to Food Safety, GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Health and Safety.
Responsible for practicing and adhering to Give & Go’s policies and best practices.
Responsible for following Give & Go core values; Respect, Direct Communication & Quality.
Responsible for other reasonable duties as assigned by the Area Leader/Supervisor and/or Plant Manager.
Completion of high school education or equivalent;
1-3 years of manufacturing experience; asset of food and dairy manufacturing industry;
Strong communication both orally and written;
Advanced computer proficiency for MS Applications such as Word, and Excel.
Strong organizational skills.

Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues.
