Outside Sales – B2B Telecom Sales
We are searching for an Outside Telecom Sales professional who has the drive to develop new accounts. A goal driven individual in both their personal and work lives. One who is results oriented, hunter instinct, and carries a sense of urgency in their work.
Our client is a niche Business-to-Business (B2B) distributor of installation materials to OEMs, Carriers and independent rural telecom companies. Briefly, they sell:
• Inside and Outside Plant cables, structured cabling solutions, data communications and fiber optic cables
• All consumable and miscellaneous items to furnishing a central office, and building, operating, and maintaining wireless networks
• Wide range of hardware for Backhaul, 4G systems, LTE, Wi-MAX, Base Station Infrastructure, and rural broadband systems
Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, they are a nimble organization with a thin layer of very supportive management, supporting you, and supporting your new sales initiatives. Your territory includes Central and Easter Canada and North-Eastern US.

• Executing sales processes from Prospect to Close - Identify, Qualify, Negotiate and Close opportunities

What you'll be doing
• Contacting prospective customers and identifying a fit for our products within their projects.
• Developing customer base and sales leads by making cold and warm calls
• Opening new accounts and credit applications
• Responding to and processing incoming calls and orders
• Visiting customers, establishing relationships
• Entering orders into system and expediting to ensure timely delivery
• Maintaining knowledge base on current products and learning about new products
• Providing pricing quotations and follow-up on quotes

Are you qualified? We require this:
• 3-5 years min Inside or Outside Telecom Sales experience (must have)
• Telecom product knowledge
• High School Diploma
• Microsoft knowledge essential
• Sales or Marketing courses an added asset
Do you also have these additional desired skills and experiences?
• Electrical supplies product knowledge
• College diploma or Certificate a definite advantage!
