Pastry Chef

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare all pastry menu items in a consistent, precise and efficient manner
  • Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to the recipes and standard
  • Provide training and support to the pastry team, demonstrate teamwork and foster good working relationships
  • Mix and bake ingredients to produce cakes, pies, pastries and other baked goods per the recipes and special requests
  • Measuring and mixing ingredients into dough according to recipes
  • Maintain record of recipes, costs and inventory and requisition supplies as needed
  • Full knowledge of hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen
  • Ensure a clean and organized environment
Requirements
 
  • Minimum 1 year experience
  • Physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy items and standing for long periods of time
  • Must be familiar with, and comply with all health and safety standards
  • Ability to work well with a team and as an individual
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
 
Work Conditions:
  • Handling heavy loads and physically demanding
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling
